The (Possibly First Ever) Half Sonnethon — in Aid of Arts for Dementia

In what may be a first of its kind, writer and podcaster Sebastian Michael is challenging himself to recite the first 77 of William Shakespeare’s 154 Sonnets by heart to a live audience on Shakespeare Day, 23rd April 2024, raising money for Arts for Dementia.

This offers a rare opportunity to hear these glorious poems presented from memory, rather than merely read out. The event is free to attend in person and to follow as a webcast online. Voluntary donations encouraged. Full details are at
www.sonnetcast.com.

What a fabulous way to raise funds for the charity that does so much to inspire people to preserve their brain health through the arts.

All best wishes
Veronica Franklin Gould, Founder and President, Arts 4 Dementia - and author of upcoming biography of the wonderful Shakespearean actress Dame Ellen Terry!
