The Old Vic Tunnels
|
The Old Vic Tunnels quickly gained a reputation as London's 'leading underground arts venue' during the short three years of its operation. Situated underneath Waterloo station, its cavernous vaults provided an extraordinary and atmospheric space for theatre and performance art events that were very much out of the ordinary.
Top Story premiered at The Old Vic Tunnels on 7th January 2013 and was the last professional theatre production to take place there before its closure in March 2013. |
Arcola Theatre
|
Arcola Theatre opened in Dalston at the beginning of 2001 and has since established itself as one of London's most thriving and exciting venues.
Arcola organised the first rehearsed reading of Love Hurts, which was subsequently developed there in a series of workshops, and Elder Latimer is in Love opened there in September 2009. |
Soho Theatre |
Labelling itself London's 'new writing centre', the Soho Theatre runs the bi-annual Verity Bargate Award, which all three plays in the Love Trilogy got to the very final stages of: The Power of Love was shortlisted in 1998; Love Hurts made it onto the longlist in 2000, and in 2004 Time after Time reached the final ten.

Southwark Playhouse
|
The Southwark Playhouse was a trailblazer in the astounding revival of the historic London borough. Now surrounded by Shakespeare's Globe, the Millennium Bridge, The Menier Chocolate Factory and Tate Modern, the Southwark counts as one of London's top 'off-west-end' theatres. The Power of Love premiered at the Southwark Playhouse in 1998.

Finborough Theatre
|
The multi-award winning Finborough Theatre in Earl's Court is as tiny as its reputation is big. It staged the first rehearsed reading of Rinaldo and its production company, Steam Industry, also was first to do a reading of Nemesis.

The Troubadour |
The Troubadour in Earl's Court is something of a home from home for me: if you go there often enough, we will bump into each other. It's also where, together with Charlie Bicknell, I ran the Troubadour Eclectic, a monthly music night which had in it exactly what it said on the label, where I did some of my solo shows and where I held the book launch for Angel. (And it also features as a location in The Hour of Living.)
