An online Zoom Table Read by the New Works Playhouse of this new play that is becoming ever more urgent as the boundaries between us as human beings and digital entities get ever more blurred:

Four people (five, really, but TomTom ‘doesn’t count’) lock themselves away deep inside a mountain behind a double lock of their own design to conduct a social experiment and — more importantly — to remove themselves from the all-penetrating reach of The Corporation and to develop a code that will render that reach ineffective and therefore restore them to freedom of some kind in the network. When things go wrong, they have two options only: either all of them die together, or two of them sacrifice themselves for the others and for the code. To decide which two, they play Jass...
